The BR 450 C-EF has a 2-stroke engine with STIHL’s 2-MIX technology, which provides excellent performance. With this performance, you can still expect low levels of emissions. Also you can adjust the blowing tube without tools to suit individual cleaning jobs.

Another benefit of this particular backpack blower is the inclusion of two of STIHL's popular starting features. ElectroStart allows you to restart the machine quickly and effortlessly with a simple button push. You can do this using the control handle and without needing to take the machine off your back, making the users job quicker and easier. ErgoStart meanwhile makes the pull start facility smoother and more reliable, ensuring it starts with a gentle pull.

This is a comfortable machine to use because of STIHL's excellent anti-vibration technology. This dampens the movements caused by the engine to significantly reduce the otherwise intense vibrations at the handles. The multi-function control handle allows easy, thumb-operated control.

Despite its power, the engine operates with low emissions so the engine already meets the requirements EU emissions standard Stage II.

Electrostart (F) - Thanks to Electrostart, users can restart the tool quickly and easily at the push of a button − without having to take it off their backs first. This saves them extra hassle and is the perfect solution for short breaks. The lithium-ion battery is recharged while the tool is in use.

Anti-vibration system - Intense vibration at the handles of power tools can lead to long-term effects on blood vessels in the hands and arms. STIHL has therefore developed an effective anti-vibration system whereby the oscillations from the machine's engine are dampened which significantly reduces vibrations at the handles.

Multi-function control handle - Easy, comfortable thumb-operated control means the operator's hand never leaves the handle.

Adjustable blowing tube - The blowing tube can be easily adjusted, without tools, to suit individual body sizes or individual cleaning task. This allows for optimum blowing force and control at all times.

Toolless handle position adjustment - The handle position can be quickly adjusted without tools to suit the operator.

STIHL ErgoStart (E) - The STIHL ErgoStart makes starting the tool more convenient by enabling a smooth, even pull. The start-up sequence benefits from an additional spring between the crankshaft and start-up mechanism making the whole procedure less strenuous. Even a gentle pull of the starter cord effortlessly starts up the engine.
