STIHL connected is an innovative method to handle all of the servicing and maintenance of each tool, as well as the tracking of your tools. Our Smart Connectors are built to be put on your tools and will record run times, transferring the information to our STIHL connected app through Bluetooth(R). This allows you to take use of our connected technology. Depending on whether you're using your tools for work or for your personal garden, STIHL connected can be applied in one of two ways.

STIHL connected for home gardeners

If you're a serious home gardener, you can easily access the connected app and quickly discover when the next service is required because the smart connector gives you the machine's service schedule automatically. You won't need to refer back to the instructions, and it will put you in touch with a STIHL Approved Dealer to schedule a service right away. It's a helpful way to keep track of the serial numbers of your instruments, and you can even connect the connectors to tools that aren't made by STIHL to view run times.

STIHL connected for professionals

Where STIHL connected really shines is in the workplace. You can easily create a complete digital record of your whole tool fleet by utilising the smart connectors in conjunction with the connected Pro Portal. This allows you to precisely track which tools are used when and for how long, which is helpful for service and maintenance. When looking to replace tools, this is also quite helpful. At the end of the day, you can also check which tools are close, which is useful if you want to make sure all the items have been returned to the depot.

Please be aware that you must use the Smart Connector 2A if you own any of the following AP System professional battery tools: MSA 300 Chainsaw, BGA 300 Blower, KMA 135 R Kombi Tool, HLA 135 Long Reach Hedgetrimmer, FSA 135 and FSA 135 R Brushcutters, HTA 135 Pole Pruner, HSA 130 R and HSA 130 T Hedge Trimmers, or the RGA 140 Brushcutter. These devices can only be used with the Smart Connector 2A; they cannot be used with the normal Smart Connector.

HOW IS STIHL CONNECTED USED?
A: It is quite straightforward. Download the STIHL Connected App from the App Store or Google Play and create an account. Next, launch the application and configure your devices. You will be prompted to select the product you wish to connect. You will be able to connect certain newer STIHL products by scanning the QR code on the machine. If there is no QR code, the model and serial number must be entered manually. At this point, you must install the STIHL Smart Connector on your machine. Again, for the majority of new STIHL products, this will be demonstrated with a model-specific video in the app. If there is no video, the Smart Connector should be installed wherever an electrical current can be detected by the sensor. Your product is now configured on the app.

WHAT IS AVAILABLE ON THE APP?
A: You will then be able to view a comprehensive inventory of your machines, along with their current status and maintenance schedules. You will also be able to see which Bluetooth-enabled devices are "Nearby" to your device.

WHO MAKES USE OF THE STIHL CONNECTED PORTAL?
A: The portal is designed particularly for professional users with multiple tools to manage.

WHAT IS AVAILABLE ON THE PORTAL?
A: The portal's dashboard displays a variety of data, including work periods, machinery productivity, operating time, last product locations, forthcoming maintenance and repairs, and tool status.
