Allett's most popular cultivation cartridge is the 20" Scarifier cartridge, which is meant to remove thatch, surface dirt, and dead moss. This cartridge also aids in the uprighting of lateral growth prior to mowing.
By enabling air and water to permeate the soil surface, the scarifier's innovative design helps to keep your lawn surface healthy and disease-free. This cartridge is built with interchangeable spinning tines that easily pick out dead grass and moss to allow nutrients to enter into the soil.
The revolving spring tines are soft on the grass, and this cartridge may be used to keep on top of thatch levels most of the year without danger of damage, as well as to collect leaves in the autumn. The spring tine provides for safe cultivation in areas where tree roots are close to the surface. This is the finest cartridge for newcomers to turf cultivation because it is unlikely to cause damage if set too deeply yet produces excellent results when used on a regular basis.
