Allett 20" QC Aerator Cartridge Description
Small holes drilled into the soil by the 20" "non-driven" Aerator cartridge make it simpler for air, water, and nutrients to reach the roots. This is helpful because it promotes deeper root development, which leads to stronger, thicker, and more luxuriant grass.
Additionally, the aerator lessens soil compaction and aids water penetration through the soil profile. Particles that are too dense in compacted soil may prevent it from absorbing the nutrients it needs to grow. Aerating your grass protects the roots from going without water because nothing gets in the way of that process.
If your lawn dries out easily, it may be crying out for aeration. If you remove a small portion of your lawn that is 4 inches deep and has a thatch layer that is more than half an inch tall, give your lawn some breathing room.
NOTE: This cartridge barely penetrates 5mm deep and is not an aggressive aeration instrument. It is designed to barely penetrate the surface in order to break up surface crust, and it performs best on surfaces that have been well-maintained, are free of thatch, or have been cut below 20 mm.
